Job Requirements

- successful completion and maintenance of required safety certification and testing
- able to walk on uneven surfaces
- able to lift weight up to 20 pounds regularly
- able to work in confined access/space environment with a width of 24 inches
- able to adapt to temperature extremes including heat, cold, moisture and wind
- able to tolerate repetitive movements such as bending and overhead reaching
- able to ascend and descend platforms up to 12 inches high
- able to occasionally ascend and descend ladders
- able to regularly ascend and descend stairs
- able to frequently bend, crouch, stand and sit for extended periods
- able to be aware of surroundings and follow verbal commands in moderately loud noise environments

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- successful completion of training and attainment of applicable certifications
- cleaning experience preferred
- some computer skills preferred
- ability to read, write and communicate proficiently
Job Duties
- Clean interior and exterior of passenger rail cars and locomotives
- perform daily cleaning tasks on cars and weekly cleaning in locomotive cab
- collect and remove trash
- clean windows, seats, tables, doors, and panels
- scrub walls with brushes and cleaning solutions
- clean and polish stainless steel handrails and trim
- clean and sanitize restroom appliances including toilet, vanity, mirror, sink and walls
- mop floors and vacuum carpeting
- clean offices, restrooms, lunchroom and locker rooms weekly
- remove trash
- restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels and cleaning carts
- distribute seat pamphlets periodically
- perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
- follow instructions furnished in written and oral form
- complete tasks within a specified time-period
- report to work on time
- work flexible shifts, schedules and overtime
- understand, follow and implement posted work rules and company procedures
- engage with and promote Herzog’s culture
- maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
- perform other duties as assigned
