Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Considerable knowledge of child nutrition laws, policies, and procedures
- Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Google Apps
- Effective time management skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to read, interpret, and administer detailed instructions, schedules, and recipes
- Ability to demonstrate appropriate food production skills
- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing using various communication tools
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school staff, students, parents, and community
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food service or serving as a cashier is preferred
- Considerable knowledge of child nutrition laws, policies, and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Google Apps

Job Duties
- Prepares, cooks and serves meals, salads, and a la carte items according to standardized recipes
- Serves as a cashier and accurately records sales using a computerized point of sale system
- Follows procedures for money exchange and deposit preparation
- Provides leadership and manages the cafeteria in the absence of the CNS Manager
- Completes required records, reports, inventories, and vending procedures
- Ensures cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and utensils according to sanitation codes
- Performs housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning dining and serving areas
- Complies with Child Nutrition Handbook policies and procedures
- Provides effective communication and customer service to students, parents, and staff
- Performs other related duties as assigned
