Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • certified dietary manager, dietetic technician, or Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and foods preferred
  • successful completion of Food Handler Training or Food Service Sanitation course within one year of employment
  • ability to coordinate and supervise Child Nutrition Program staff
  • knowledge of health department food safety standards
  • capacity to maintain detailed food and supply inventories
  • excellent communication skills
  • willingness to comply with E-Verify employment eligibility verification

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • certified dietary manager, dietetic technician, or Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and foods preferred
  • successful completion of Food Handler Training or Food Service Sanitation course within one year of employment
  • prior experience in food service management preferred
  • strong organizational and leadership skills
  • ability to maintain accurate records and inventories

Job Duties

  • Ensures an ample supply of food during the meal service times
  • develops a cleaning schedule
  • ensures proper temperatures are maintained according to health department standards
  • maintains a daily record of cooler and freezer temperatures
  • conducts orientation of all new Child Nutrition Program employees
  • conducts a yearly evaluation of all Child Nutrition Program employees according to established Board policies
  • completes daily food production records
