Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Programming and machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a dusty, hot, non-climate-controlled environment
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to occasionally lift more than 100 pounds using mechanical equipment
- Ability to work off-shift hours
- Capable of standing, walking frequently, and occasional climbing or balancing
- Ability to follow safety programs and company policies
- Must demonstrate proficiency in core production roles within 90 days
Job Qualifications
- Possess arithmetic skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and shop drawings
- Working knowledge of precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Experience with software like EnRoute, Rhino, Photoshop, Onyx is a plus
- Understand oral and written instructions
- Ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines
- Capable of training production staff
- Strong decision-making skills and strategic planning ability
- Effective communication and people skills
- Team player willing to learn
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment and wear required PPE
- Ability to work off-shift hours
- Proficiency in core production roles within 90 days of hire
Job Duties
- Develop programs tailored to custom and standard product orders
- Utilize lean methods to enhance material utilization and operational efficiency
- Ensure material utilization targets of 85% or higher
- Prioritize safety by implementing methods for parting material webs and tabs
- Support production by operating equipment and troubleshooting
- Operate within a job shop manufacturing environment
- Offer recommendations to improve quality and efficiency
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders for product design solutions
- Assist in inventory control supporting the Purchasing department
- Interpret shop drawings to guide machining processes
- Contribute to prototype assembly
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following 5S practices
- Motivate production employees to maintain high workmanship
- Operate various production machines as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
