Job Requirements

  • bring a smile to work every day

  • high school education or GED equivalent preferred
  • nursing assistant course recommended
  • first aid certification and CPR if required
  • must meet state training requirements and certifications
  • nursing assistant certification (CNA) is desirable
  • basic competency in multiple forms of technology including Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • monitor residents' well-being and report changes
  • assist residents with requests or direct to appropriate associate
  • learn resident preferences to provide exemplary service
  • supervise or assist with activities of daily living
  • provide companionship and develop resident relations
  • respond to emergencies per policies
  • help residents with assistive devices
  • encourage resident self-care
  • document care consistently
  • provide input on resident service plans
  • review care checklists regularly
  • maintain resident confidentiality and privacy
  • practice infection control and safety standards
  • observe and document resident status
  • cover customer service desk if needed
  • answer telephone per company policy
  • support and participate in wellness programs
  • resolve resident questions per policies
  • greet and direct family and visitors
  • assist in community special and marketing events
  • support resident social needs
  • assist in upkeep of common areas
  • maintain residents' room upkeep
  • help with resident laundry
  • promote open communication among associates
  • work as a team member
  • maintain personal appearance and uniform standards
  • seek cost reductions and efficiencies
  • ensure regulatory compliance
  • support continuous improvement
  • adhere to regulations and company standards
  • understand and support sales process
  • perform related duties as needed
