Job Requirements

  • Exceptional people skills with ability to build trust and relationships
  • Ability to qualify potential clients and negotiate effectively
  • Knowledge of food and beverage etiquette and service standards
  • Hotel sales experience preferred
  • Familiarity with CITY, MARSHA, LightSpeed and/or Delphi systems preferred
  • Previous brand experience preferred (Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton)
  • Market knowledge of Cary/Raleigh RTP area a plus
  • Driven and goal oriented
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • College degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Reporting to the vice president of sales and marketing, maintaining highest level of competencies to help properties achieve business goals
  • Responsible for sales and revenue generation for assigned segments
  • Understanding brands represented and staying up to date on sales initiatives
  • Utilizing exceptional telephone skills to identify, analyze, build rapport and understand clients' goals
  • Qualifying incoming sales leads promptly and accurately
  • Preparing and sending proposals and contracts within established timeframes
  • Understanding contracts content and negotiating terms
  • Assisting clients with event planning and ensuring successful event execution
  • Communicating with relevant departments for guest satisfaction through accurate Banquet Event Orders
  • Coordinating menus, pricing, and technology with management teams
  • Meeting budgeted meeting room, catering revenues and other assigned targets
