Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work flexible work hours and schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight hours
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects and or move up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during busy times
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience and proven success in the hospitality or service industry is strongly preferred
  • Prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • Prior special events setup and tear down experience preferred
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during busy times

Job Duties

  • Clean restrooms, foyer space, and furniture as assigned
  • Utilize specialty equipment complying with all safety and procedural guidelines
  • Polish, restore, seal, finish and maintain all flooring including marble and granite
  • Complete extraction and spotting of carpets
  • Complete high and low dusting of ceiling vents and wall decorations
  • Use various machines such as carpet extractors, scrubbers, burnishers, floor machines, lifts, and wet/dry vacuums
  • Operate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment
  • Use proper techniques and equipment when moving heavy furniture
  • Properly use and dispose of chemicals when conducting area cleaning
  • Conduct bio-hazard clean-up
  • Move furniture and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Provide courteous and professional service in handling event equipment
  • Retrieve materials needed for special event setups
  • Ensure venues are cleaned and maintained before and after events
  • Assist with inventory control of catering equipment and furniture
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors
  • Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in banquet service areas
  • Safely drive and maintain vehicles for transporting event materials
  • Assist banquet staff and perform side work as needed
