Job Requirements
- May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- may be required to work in heat and sun for extended periods
- requires occasional bending, reaching, stretching
- must be able to stand for extended periods
- may be required to climb step stools up to 3 feet high
- must carry and balance loaded trays
- must be capable of working under pressure
- must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- ability to work in fast-paced environments
- strong communication skills
- knowledge of food and beverage menus
- ability to memorize menu items and descriptions
- customer service oriented
- familiarity with safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
- basic understanding of alcohol service policies
Job Duties
- Check daily function sheets for special setups for members or private parties
- report to supervisor and receive special instructions
- taste and memorize special menu items and descriptions
- perform side-work duties required for meal period setups
- take beverage and food orders if necessary
- alert supervisor to potential alcohol consumption or underage drinking issues
- address members with friendly and courteous attitudes and use suggestive selling techniques
- serve food in the proper sequence of courses
- clear tables and reset
- take phone to-go orders according to club standards
- organize and maintain cleanliness of workstation
- develop thorough understanding of food and wine menus
- ensure food plates meet requirements per tickets
- ensure food items are presentable and fit for consumption before delivery
- maintain a clean and presentable appearance
- adhere to Club Bylaws and Rules
- advise supervisor of complaints and report rule infractions
- perform all side-work at end of shift
- complete server report if necessary
- perform other duties assigned by supervisor
- report to supervisor before leaving premises
