Job Requirements

  • Driving is required with valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to pass driver’s screening background check
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper techniques
  • Ability to operate computer and office equipment
  • CPR certification within two weeks of hire
  • First Aid certification within two weeks of hire
  • Psychiatric Rehabilitation Division New Employee Training
  • Crisis Intervention/Staff Safety and Infectious Diseases training within six months of hire
  • Ability to speak, hear, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to sit, reach, climb stairs and maneuver in tight spaces
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to assist with tasks of daily living as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelors degree in mental health, social services, or business
  • One to three years experience in the human services field
  • Advanced training or credentials in vocational rehabilitation preferred
  • Knowledge of Clubhouse standards and practices
  • Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles
  • Strong organizational and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to provide positive role modeling
  • Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues
  • Knowledge of community resources and educational opportunities
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with personal computers and office equipment
  • Ability to coach and support vocational skill development

Job Duties

  • Provide individual and group support to Clubhouse members
  • Assess, develop, and implement Action Plans with members
  • Promote a supportive and empowering environment
  • Communicate and reinforce Clubhouse culture and philosophy
  • Provide support and coaching in all work areas
  • Maintain program records according to regulatory standards
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local employers
  • Assess vocational skills and interests
  • Assist with job development and search activities
  • Provide coaching and training at community job sites
  • Perform placement management duties for Transitional Employment
  • Provide or arrange benefits counseling
  • Develop relationships with community vocational resources
  • Attend training and conferences
  • Participate in staff meetings and orientation
  • Maintain communication with supervisors and coworkers
  • Support physical upkeep of the Clubhouse
  • Plan and participate in Clubhouse events
  • Enforce all policies and procedures
  • Perform other related duties as required
