Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months customer service, hotel, or restaurant experience preferred
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to apply commonsense understanding in carrying out instructions
  • Must be able to utilize and follow a checklist, take inventory of supplies, and convey information to staff and management
  • Must be able to comply in standardized situations with occasional or no variation
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work without constant supervision
  • Must be able to work well as a part of a team
  • Must be engaging with all guests and responsive to their needs
  • Must be physically capable of standing and walking for entire shift
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Welcome and engage guests
  • Monitor guest access to a Platinum, Titanium, Ambassador or M Club paying customer plus 1 guest
  • Project the M Club's exclusive and coveted experience
  • Assist guests with concierge services such as reservations, local directions, business services, and sightseeing information
  • Maintain a task ratio of approximately 10% maintenance, 20% food and beverage, and 70% guest focus
  • Set up and maintain the breakfast bar with an attractive, organized, clean, and standardized presentation
  • Take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day
  • Assist with set up of prepared foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices
  • Set up serving dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and other products
  • Arrange cold food items like sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal
  • Clear and clean tables as they are vacated
  • Remove trash from service area
  • Restock self-service food and supplies as needed
  • Wash serving equipment and return it to proper storage
  • Ensure glassware is polished and replenished
  • Return reusable food supplies to storage after service
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Dust, polish, and vacuum furniture
  • Clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces using appropriate cleaners
  • Inspect areas for safety hazards
  • Check operating conditions of equipment
  • Report lost and found articles per hotel procedure
  • Report maintenance problems in common areas
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor or manager
  • Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor or manager
