Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years old
- able to stand and walk for extended periods
- capable of lifting up to 25 pounds
- able to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
- possess legal authorization to work in the united states
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous bartending experience preferred
- knowledge of standard cocktail recipes and beverage preparation
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
- knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
- basic math and cash handling skills
Job Duties
- adhere to state federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- set up assigned bars including requisitioning and stocking all beer wine spirits paper products straws stirrers condiments glassware ice and produce
- maintain stock prepare cure and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
- greet guests in a courteous friendly manner
- take and or process orders for drinks mix garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes practice prudent portion control
- check guests at the bar for proper identification
- detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws
- receive cash from guests make change verify validity of charges record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
- lock up and store all beverage product food equipment items deposits and cash drops secure bank
- perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards keep work area clean and organized
- arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area
- wash and sterilize stemware
- perform other duties as assigned
