Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Two years of relevant retail or warehouse experience
- Forklift certification
- Basic computer proficiency
- Open shift availability
- Minimum age of 18
- Ability to maintain ServSafe and other certifications
- Physical ability to perform frequent movement, bending, pulling, reaching
- Capacity for lifting up to 30 pounds regularly
- Willingness to work in exposure to temperature extremes, loud noises and cleaning agents
- Commitment to maintain regular attendance
Job Qualifications
- Two years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations
- Experience managing inventory turnover and waste reduction strategies
- Forklift certification required
- High school diploma required, college degree preferred
- Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and email
- Availability for open shifts
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to maintain required training and certifications
Job Duties
- Oversee end-of-day execution of recovery, utility, perishables, and overnight prep tasks
- Actively walk the floor during closing hours to engage with members and team
- Maintain GOLD Member Standards, including greeting, anticipating, appreciating members and ensuring fast, friendly service
- Validate departments are fully operational and registers open through final transactions
- Resolve or escalate member concerns during evening hours
- Monitor in-stock levels, freshness, product rotation, and merchandising especially in perishables
- Conduct quality and expiration date checks to uphold food safety
- Enforce sanitation procedures including daily checklists and safety protocols
- Manage staffing and productivity of assistant closing manager and recovery team
- Utilize company tools and reporting systems to prioritize tasks and maximize efficiency
- Ensure compliance with audit and safety documentation
- Maintain operational readiness for next day including clean and stocked departments
- Identify and escalate equipment issues
- Coach onboarding, certification, and ongoing training
- Support improvement plans in underperforming departments
- Collaborate with club leadership and department leads to enhance closing routines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Use BJ’s MY WORK system for task execution
- Operate forklift safely
- Maintain consistent attendance and leadership coverage
