Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of approved NCT training program required
- Successful completion of Medical Assistant education program or vocational nurse program required
- Six months previous healthcare facility clinical experience required
- Six months previous x-ray experience or completed internal NCT training required
- NCT registration by Texas Medical Board upon hire required
- LVN license in Texas if hired as LVN
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire
- THR Urine Drug Collector training required within 30 days of hire
- Ability to work minimum two shifts per month including one major holiday
- Availability to work across multiple Breeze Urgent Care locations
- Strong customer service skills and professionalism
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of approved NCT training program
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program or vocational nurse program
- Six months previous healthcare facility clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care role
- Six months previous x-ray experience or completion of internal THR NCT training
- Preferred experience as licensed NCT
- Preferred experience with electronic health record, straight-arm x-ray, and orthopedic procedures
- NCT registered by the Texas Medical Board upon hire
- LVN licensed by the State of Texas upon hire if applicable
- Other certified or registered Medical Assistant in lieu of education program
- BCLS certification maintained every two years
- THR Urine Drug Collector training maintained every five years
Job Duties
- Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow
- Measures and documents vitals including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and pain level
- Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC
- Performs and documents laboratory testing and collections per provider orders including venipuncture
- Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication with proper verification
- Assists provider with procedures including maintaining sterile field, laceration repair, incision and drainage, application of ortho-goods and ortho-glass
- Performs diagnostic x-rays following established protocols and ensures images are transferred for radiology overread
- Welcomes patients and secondary guests with a professional and empathetic manner, inquires about the nature of the visit
- Recognizes and notifies provider of emergent patients, performs BLS, provides oxygen administration
- Schedules primary care referrals, maintains office and medical supplies at appropriate par levels
- Performs quality checks per established policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
