Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- completion of approved NCT training program
- successful completion of medical assistant education program or vocational nurse program
- six months previous healthcare facility clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care role
- six months previous x-ray experience or completion of internal THR NCT training
- NCT registered by Texas Medical Board upon hire
- LVN license if applicable upon hire
- certified or registered medical assistant in lieu of completion of education program
- BCLS certification within 30 days of hire
- THR urine drug collector training within 30 days of hire
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent

- previous experience as licensed NCT preferred
- experience with electronic health record, straight-arm x-ray, and orthopedic experience preferred
- NCT registered by Texas Medical Board upon hire
- LVN state of Texas license if applicable upon hire
- certified or registered medical assistant in lieu of completion of education program
- BCLS certification within 30 days of hire
- THR urine drug collector training within 30 days of hire
Job Duties
- collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow
- measures and documents vitals and communicates the resulting data to the consumer and provider
- documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC
- performs and documents laboratory testing and collections per provider orders and standard procedures, including venipuncture
- administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication, may perform injections with competency checkoff
- assists provider with procedures including maintaining sterile field, laceration repair, I&D, application of ortho-goods and ortho-glass
- performs diagnostic x-rays and documents completion of radiology exams within licensed scope
- behaves professionally and empathetically to build trust and relationships
- welcomes the consumer and secondary guests and inquires about the visit purpose
- recognizes and notifies provider of emergent patients, performs BLS and provides oxygen, assists in emergency care
- schedules primary care referrals
- maintains office and medical supplies at appropriate par levels
- performs quality checks per policies
- performs other duties as assigned
