Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of approved NCT training program
  • Completion of Medical Assistant or vocational nurse education program
  • Six months prior healthcare clinical experience
  • Six months x-ray experience or internal training
  • Registered NCT upon hire
  • Valid LVN license if applicable
  • Certified or registered Medical Assistant if not LVN
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Completion of THR Urine Drug Collector training
  • Ability to work full-time 3-12 hour shifts per week
  • Professional and empathetic communication skills
  • Ability to perform multiple clinical functions
  • Availability to float to multiple urgent care locations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of approved NCT training program
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program or vocational nurse program
  • Six months previous health care clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or similar patient care role
  • Six months previous x-ray experience or internal THR NCT training
  • Registered NCT by the Texas Medical Board upon hire
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse State of Texas if LVN upon hire or other certified/registered Medical Assistant
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification maintained every 2 years
  • THR Urine Drug Collector training within 30 days of hire
  • Preferred previous licensed NCT experience
  • Preferred experience with electronic health records and orthopedic procedures

Job Duties

  • Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow
  • Measures and documents vitals and communicates data to consumer and provider
  • Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and medications accurately in EPIC
  • Performs and documents laboratory testing and collections including venipuncture
  • Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication
  • Assists provider with procedures including sterile field maintenance, laceration repair, I&D, and ortho-goods application
  • Performs diagnostic x-rays and documents completion within licensed scope
  • Welcomes consumers and secondary guests with professionalism, builds trust and rapport
  • Recognizes emergent patients and assists with emergency care including BLS and oxygen administration
  • Schedules primary care referrals
  • Maintains office, medical supplies, and medications
  • Performs quality checks throughout the facility
  • Other assigned duties
