Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of approved NCT training program
- Successful completion of Medical Assistant education program or vocational nurse program
- Six months previous healthcare clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA or similar
- Six months previous x-ray experience or completion of internal THR NCT training
- Licensed NCT registered by Texas Medical Board upon hire
- LVN license from State of Texas if applicable
- Certification or registration as Medical Assistant if applicable
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
- THR Urine Drug Collector training within 30 days of hire
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of approved NCT training program
- Successful completion of Medical Assistant education program or vocational nurse program
- Six months previous healthcare clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA or similar
- Previous x-ray experience or internal THR NCT training
- Licensed NCT registered by Texas Medical Board upon hire
- LVN license if applicable
- Certified or registered Medical Assistant if applicable
- BCLS certification maintained every 2 years
- THR urine drug collector training within 30 days of hire
Job Duties
- Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow
- Measures and documents vitals and communicates data to consumer and provider
- Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and medications accurately in EPIC
- Performs and documents laboratory testing and collections including venipuncture
- Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication, performs injections if certified
- Assists provider with procedures including sterile fields, laceration repair, I&D, ortho-goods and ortho-glass application
- Performs diagnostic x-rays within licensed scope and documents completion
- Welcomes consumer and guests with professionalism and empathy
- Recognizes emergent patients, performs BLS, provides oxygen, assists with emergency care
- Schedules primary care referrals for consumers
- Maintains office and medical supplies at appropriate par levels
- Performs quality checks throughout facility per policy
- Other duties as assigned
