Job Requirements

  • Washington State medical assistant-certified (MA-C) license within 45 days of hire
  • Current BLS certification or may be obtained through in-house training program
  • Minimum one year experience in a physician's office or other medical facility preferred
  • Exceptions allowed for applicants in externship or residency programs with active or pending WA DOH MA-R certification within 7 days of hire
  • For Idaho, current CMA certification by AAMA, NHA or NCCT
  • Washington state MA-C or MA-R license endorsed by Indigo within 30 days of employment
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work three 12-hour day shifts
  • Strong ethical standards and patient advocacy skills

Job Qualifications

  • Medical assistant certified (MA-C) license or equivalent
  • Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain through in-house training
  • Minimum of one year experience in a physician's office or medical facility preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care
  • Knowledge of clinical procedures and health care protocols
  • Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, front office staff and clinic management to ensure comprehensive health care outcomes
  • Perform a variety of functions within the clinic setting requiring specialized knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
  • Create and provide a safe and supportive environment for patients
  • Support clinic management and patient customer service
  • Assist with clinic workflow and patient coordination
  • Ensure compliance with medical and regulatory standards
