Job Requirements

  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
  • current BLS certification or may be obtained through in-house training
  • minimum one year experience in physician's office or medical facility preferred
  • ability to obtain or possess certification within 45 days of hire if required
  • valid CMA certification (Idaho candidates) with required licensure endorsement within 30 days
  • exceptions may apply for externship or residency program participants with active or pending certification

Job Qualifications

  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) license or current CMA certification by AAMA, NHA or NCCT
  • current BLS certification or ability to obtain through in-house training
  • minimum one year experience in a physician's office or other medical facility preferred
  • knowledge of clinical tasks within MA-C license scope
  • ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams
  • strong customer service skills
  • understanding of ethical and holistic patient care practices

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, front office staff and clinic management to ensure comprehensive health care outcomes
  • perform a variety of functions within the clinic setting requiring specialized knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data
  • advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
  • create and provide a safe and supportive environment for patients
  • support clinic management through excellent patient customer service and assistance
