Job Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have completed approved LMRT training with required proficiencies
  • Must have completed Medical Assistant education program or hold certified/registered MA credential
  • Must have six months previous x-ray experience or LMRT externship training
  • Must have six months clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or similar role
  • Must hold LMRT license from Texas Medical Board with specialties in chest, extremities, skull, and spine
  • Must have Medical Assistant certification or CHCP externship
  • Must obtain and maintain BCLS certification
  • Must complete THR Urine Drug Collection training prior to independent care
  • Ability to work full-time shifts and float across multiple urgent care locations
  • Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset
  • Ability to perform clinical and administrative duties
  • Must comply with all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of approved LMRT training program with proficiency in chest, extremities, skull, and spine
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program or certified/registered Medical Assistant credential
  • Six months previous x-ray experience or completion of an internal THR LMRT externship program
  • Six months previous health care facility clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care role
  • LMRT issued by the Texas Medical Board with required specialties
  • Medical Assistant certification or CHCP externship completion
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification maintained every 2 years
  • THR Urine Drug Collector training maintained every 5 years

Job Duties

  • Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow
  • Measures and documents vitals and communicates the resulting data to the consumer and provider, including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and pain level
  • Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC for review by provider
  • Performs and documents laboratory testing and collections per provider orders and/or standard operating procedures, including venipuncture with prior competency check-off
  • Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication using appropriate medication verification workflow
  • Assists provider with procedures including maintaining sterile field, laceration repair, incision and drainage, and application of orthopedic goods and ortho-glass
  • Performs diagnostic x-rays within licensed scope of practice following established protocols and communicates images for overread and medical record inclusion
  • Behaves professionally and empathetically to build trust and understanding with patients and guests
  • Welcomes patients and guests with appropriate greetings and inquiries about visit purpose
  • Recognizes and notifies provider immediately of emergent patients, performs BLS, provides oxygen administration, and assists in emergency care
  • Schedules primary care referrals for patients
  • Maintains office, medical supplies, and medications at appropriate levels
  • Performs quality checks throughout the facility
  • Other duties as assigned
