Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of approved LMRT training program with proficiency in chest, extremities, skull, and spine
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program or certified/registered Medical Assistant or CHCP externship completion at Breeze Urgent Care
  • Six months previous x-ray experience or completion of internal THR LMRT externship training
  • Six months previous healthcare clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care
  • LMRT issued by the Texas Medical Board with specialties in chest, extremities, skull, and spine
  • Medical Assistant certification or registration or CHCP externship at Breeze upon hire
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification maintained every two years and required prior to independent patient care within 30 days of hire
  • THR Urine Drug Collector training maintained every five years and required prior to independent care within 30 days of hire

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of approved LMRT training program with proficiency in chest, extremities, skull, and spine
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program or certification/registration as a Medical Assistant
  • CHCP externship completion at Breeze Urgent Care
  • Six months previous x-ray experience or completion of internal THR LMRT externship training program
  • Six months previous healthcare clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care role
  • LMRT issued by the Texas Medical Board with specialties in chest, extremities, skull, and spine
  • Medical Assistant certification or registration or CHCP externship completion at Breeze
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • THR Urine Drug Collector training within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow
  • Measures and documents vitals and communicates the resulting data to the consumer and provider, including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and pain level
  • Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC for review by provider
  • Performs and documents laboratory testing and collections per provider orders and/or standard operating procedures, including venipuncture with prior competency check-off
  • Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication using the appropriate medication verification workflow
  • Assists provider with procedures including maintaining sterile field, laceration repair, incision and drainage, application of orthopedic goods and ortho-glass application
  • Performs diagnostic x-rays and documents completion of radiology examinations within licensed scope, ensures images are sent for radiology overread and reports are filed
  • Behaves professionally and empathetically to build trust, comfort, and relationships with consumers and guests according to patient experience standards
  • Welcomes consumers and guests to the center with eye contact, smile, greeting, and personal introduction and inquires about visit purpose
  • Recognizes emergent patients immediately, performs BLS, administers oxygen, and assists provider with emergency care
  • Schedules primary care referrals for consumers
  • Maintains office supplies, medical supplies, and medications at appropriate levels
  • Performs quality checks throughout the facility per policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned
