Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- completion of approved LMRT training program with proficiency in chest, extremities, skull, and spine required
- 6 months previous x-ray experience or completion of internal THR LMRT training program in lieu of experience required
- LMRT license issued by TMB with specialties upon hire required
- BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire
- THR Urine Drug Collector training within 30 days of hire required
- strong communication and customer service skills
- ability to perform duties in accordance with clinical protocols
- availability to work full-time, including 3 shifts of 12 hours weekly
- ability to float across multiple urgent care locations
- discretion, good judgment, and decision-making skills required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- completion of approved LMRT training program with proficiency in chest, extremities, skull, and spine
- successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program preferred
- completion of a CHCP externship at Breeze Urgent Care preferred
- 6 months previous x-ray experience or completion of internal THR LMRT training program
- 6 months previous healthcare clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care preferred
- previous experience with electronic health record systems
- licensed LMRT issued by the TMB with relevant specialties upon hire
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire
- THR Urine Drug Collector training required within 30 days of hire
Job Duties
- Collects identification and payor related documentation
- conducts registration using EPIC workflow
- measures and documents vitals and communicates data to patient and provider
- documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications in EPIC
- performs and documents laboratory testing and collections per provider orders
- administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication
- assists provider with procedures including sterile field maintenance, laceration repair, I&D, and orthopedic applications
- performs diagnostic x-rays within licensed scope and documents completion of radiology exams
- follows established x-ray protocols ensuring safe exposure factors
- transfers images and communication for radiology overread with reports filed in medical record
- builds trust and comfort with patients and secondary guests
- welcomes patients with greeting, introduction, and screening questions
- recognizes and notifies provider of emergent patients, performs BLS, provides oxygen administration, and assists with emergency care
- schedules appointments for primary care referrals
- maintains office and medical supplies at appropriate levels
- performs quality checks per policies and procedure
- other duties as assigned
