Job Requirements
- Technical School Diploma graduate of accredited Radiologic Technologist program (AART)
- Minimum 2 years of diagnostic imaging experience in healthcare settings
- Strong medical and radiologic knowledge including anatomy physiology and radiation physics
- Proficiency with EMR systems radiology PACS software scheduling platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to communicate procedures clearly and provide patient education
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Compliance with HIPAA OSHA and radiation safety guidelines
- RT certification upon hire
- BLS certification within 30 days
- Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs
- Frequent sitting and standing
- Patient care providers may need to kneel bend squat and perform CPR
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technologist program (AART)
- 2 years diagnostic imaging experience in healthcare settings
- Strong knowledge of anatomy physiology radiation physics and clinical workflows
- Competency in EMR systems radiology PACS scheduling platforms and Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate imaging procedures and patient education effectively
- Capability to handle high patient volumes multitask and problem-solve
- Strict adherence to HIPAA OSHA and radiation safety regulations
- RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association within 30 days
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
Job Duties
- Coordinate and perform patient check-in/check-out ensuring accurate registration and information collection
- Verify insurance eligibility collect payments and process referrals
- Schedule appointments while optimizing clinic workflow
- Maintain electronic medical records ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Measure and collect patient data including vital signs and document accurately
- Assist providers with patient information collection including reason for visit and medical history
- Complete patient rooming process and prepare exam rooms ensuring sanitation and supply availability
- Support patient procedures and assist with medical examinations
- Complete follow-up phone calls post discharge
- Follow strict radiation safety protocols and maintain detailed procedural records
- Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients undergoing imaging
- Prepare operate and maintain radiologic imaging equipment ensuring safety and image quality
- Behave in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust and comfort with patients
- Maintain all required logs including quality control and stat cart checks
- Administer medications and vaccinations per provider orders and protocols
- Collect and prepare lab specimens and complete necessary requisitions
