Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience in admitting, medical records, health information or clerical support
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-directed and able to take initiative
  • Ability to perform complex scheduling, insurance verification, and registration tasks
  • Capable of balancing co-pay money and deposits
  • Ability to interface with physicians and other staff
  • Comfortable with limited coding and charge entry tasks
  • Prioritize tasks with discretion
  • Able to mentor others and serve as a resource

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of healthcare experience or equivalent education in admitting, medical records/health information, or clerical support
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Strong communication skills
  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
  • BLS certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Scheduling patient appointments with accuracy and care
  • Verifying insurance and handling patient registration
  • Managing co-pay collections and balancing daily/weekly deposits
  • Supporting front-office operations and serving as a resource for colleagues
  • Assisting with limited coding and charge entry as needed
  • Problem solving independently and mentoring others
  • Interfacing with physicians and other staff regularly
