Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year health care experience or equivalent education preferred
  • ability to perform complex activities such as scheduling, insurance verification, registration, and balancing deposits
  • self-directed with strong problem-solving abilities
  • ability to mentor others and serve as a resource
  • basic knowledge of medical coding and charge entry
  • BLS certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year health care experience or equivalent education preferred
  • experience in admitting, medical records, health information, or applicable clerical support
  • familiarity with medical terminology
  • strong communication skills
  • keyboard proficiency and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions

Job Duties

  • Scheduling patient appointments with accuracy and care
  • verifying insurance and handling patient registration
  • managing co-pay collections and balancing daily or weekly deposits
  • supporting front-office operations and serving as a resource for colleagues
  • assisting with limited coding and charge entry
  • problem-solving independently
  • mentoring other staff members
