Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year healthcare experience or equivalent education
  • ability to perform complex tasks requiring prioritization and discretion
  • experience in scheduling, insurance verification, registration, co-pay handling, and balancing deposits
  • self-directed with problem-solving skills
  • ability to mentor others
  • effective communication with physicians and staff
  • basic knowledge or experience in coding and charge entry

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year healthcare experience or equivalent education in admitting, medical records, health information, or clerical support
  • familiarity with medical terminology
  • strong communication skills
  • keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems
  • BLS certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Scheduling patient appointments with accuracy and care
  • verifying insurance and handling patient registration
  • managing co-pay collections and balancing daily or weekly deposits
  • supporting front-office operations and serving as a resource for colleagues
  • assisting with limited coding and charge entry as needed
  • problem solving independently and mentoring other staff
  • interfacing regularly with physicians and other clinical staff
