Job Requirements

  • Six months experience in an outpatient setting or equivalent customer service experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Keyboarding skills
  • Ability to use computer equipment and software
  • Experience with multi-line phones preferred
  • Medical terminology familiarity preferred
  • AHA CPR certification required and must be maintained

Job Qualifications

  • Six months experience in an outpatient setting as a medical office receptionist or equivalent customer service role
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Keyboarding and computer software proficiency
  • Familiarity with electronic practice management systems preferred
  • Experience with multi-line and ACD phones preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Valid AHA CPR certification upon hire

Job Duties

  • Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately
  • Collect and update patient demographics and insurance information
  • Verify health plan eligibility
  • Take complete and accurate messages
  • Schedule patient appointments using an electronic practice management system
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical duties to support clinic operations
  • Maintain quality patient care initiatives
