Job Requirements
- Six months experience in an outpatient setting or equivalent customer service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills
- Keyboarding skills
- Ability to use computer equipment and software
- Experience with multi-line phones preferred
- Medical terminology familiarity preferred
- AHA CPR certification required and must be maintained
Job Qualifications
- Six months experience in an outpatient setting as a medical office receptionist or equivalent customer service role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Keyboarding and computer software proficiency
- Familiarity with electronic practice management systems preferred
- Experience with multi-line and ACD phones preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Valid AHA CPR certification upon hire
Job Duties
- Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately
- Collect and update patient demographics and insurance information
- Verify health plan eligibility
- Take complete and accurate messages
- Schedule patient appointments using an electronic practice management system
- Perform miscellaneous clerical duties to support clinic operations
- Maintain quality patient care initiatives
