Job Duties
- Answer telephone and route calls to the appropriate person
- professionally greet all patients and guests
- maintain a professional environment at all times and monitor reception and waiting areas
- distribute incoming mail
- obtain necessary signatures for admissions processing
- ensure patient confidentiality is maintained
- maintain accurate records of hospitalization and patient travel
- prepare medical records for fax or mail
- organize travel for patients
- coordinate transient patient paperwork and transfer placements
- confirm completion and submission of admissions paperwork
- assist with medical appointment referrals and scheduling
- assist with transportation coordination and referrals
- ensure data entry completion for Crown Web system
- scan monthly insurance cards
- set up and maintain filing systems and databases
- complete company forms and reports
- prepare purchase orders
- assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable
- maintain office supply inventory
- audit medical records for compliance
- collect patient demographic and quality improvement data
- assemble, file, and maintain patient records
- print patient schedules and pull charts daily
- arrange package pickup and delivery
- assist with month-end reporting
- participate in team meetings and education sessions
