Job Duties
- Answer telephone and route calls to appropriate person
- Greet patients and guests professionally
- Maintain a professional environment in reception and waiting areas
- Distribute incoming mail
- Obtain signatures to process admissions data according to policies
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained
- Maintain accurate records for hospitalization and patient travel
- Prepare and organize medical records for travel, transplant, or disability
- Coordinate transient patient paperwork and transfer placements
- Confirm admissions paperwork is completed and sent to designated departments
- Assist with medical appointment referrals and scheduling
- Assist with transportation coordination and referrals
- Complete data entry for Crown Web related to ESRD forms
- Scan insurance cards monthly
- Set up and maintain filing systems and basic databases
- Complete forms and reports as required
- Prepare purchase orders
- Assist with accounts receivable and payable functions
- Maintain office supply inventory
- Audit records for compliance with medical record standards
- Collect Patient Demographic Information and Quality Improvement Data
- Assemble and maintain patient medical records
- Print patient schedules and pull charts daily
- Arrange package pickup and delivery
- Assist with month-end reporting
- Participate in team meetings and educational sessions
