Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in customer service or receptionist roles
  • proficiency with computer software including practice management systems and Microsoft Office
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
  • knowledge of veterinary terms and procedures is an advantage
  • empathetic and patient demeanor

  • strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
  • ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • proficiency in practice management software and Microsoft Office

  • empathy and patience when dealing with anxious or stressed clients
  • previous experience in customer service or reception, preferably in veterinary or healthcare settings

Job Duties

  • Greet clients warmly and professionally to create a welcoming atmosphere
  • schedule appointments, surgeries, and procedures ensuring optimal utilization of staff and resources
  • answer phone calls, address client inquiries, and provide information about services and policies
  • manage client check-ins and check-outs, verify patient information, process payments, and provide invoices
  • maintain accurate electronic and paper records including patient files and appointment logs
  • handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry
  • collaborate with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent client service
