Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- 2+ years in client service related field
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during an 8-hour day
- Willing to work long, irregular hours including Saturdays
- Must be available to close at least 2 days Monday - Friday
- Prefer candidates available for evening shifts
- Must be a team player and willing to cross-train in every hospital department
- Ability to maintain accurate medical and financial records
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2+ years in client service related field
- 1+ veterinary hospital or animal healthcare experience preferred
- Strong desire and passion to help and build relationships with clients and patients
- Excellent verbal, written, phone, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Flexibility to work in an ever-changing environment
- Common sense, compassion, and desire to learn
- Critical thinking and multi-tasking
- Must be friendly, outgoing, and a team player
- Good computer knowledge
- Honesty, integrity, and a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Greet visitors, answer telephones, and guide clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Place outbound calls for follow-ups and prospective client outreach
- Present and explain fees, including processing payments
- Recommend, select, and obtain products and services, including prescriptions
- Answer questions regarding products, services, and general animal care
- Manage medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence
- Maintain hospital cleanliness, including removal of animal waste
