Job Requirements

  • Experience in kitchen leadership for 1-3 years
  • Ability to exercise creativity in menu development
  • Understanding of diverse cooking methods, ingredients and equipment
  • Ability to lead teams effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfort with client interactions and presentations
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Willingness to learn business skills
  • Proficiency with technology including Google applications and Microsoft Office
  • Must maintain ServSafe Food Manager certification
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a sous chef or senior sous chef at a high-end restaurant or hotel
  • Strong leadership skills with 1-3 years of kitchen leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable with client-facing roles and confident in presentation
  • Ability to think quickly and critically under pressure
  • Knowledge of diverse cooking methods, ingredients and equipment
  • Proficient with Google applications and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to learn and adopt business practices
  • ServSafe Food Manager certification

Job Duties

  • Design, prepare and coordinate unique weekly menus for all dietary needs and restrictions
  • Spearhead execution of new product lines and culinary practices
  • Participate in critical discussions regarding eater satisfaction and business growth with the client
  • Act as liaison between business team and culinary team regarding client details and feedback
  • Hire kitchen staff
  • Manage, coach and train the kitchen staff
  • Own supply ordering and inventory
  • oversee COGS
  • Monitor and manage portion control and food costs
  • Execute strict quality control and assurance
  • Ensure kitchen operations meet company and facility standards
  • Comply with and enforce sanitary regulations and safety standards
