Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to handle public inquiries professionally
- basic clerical experience preferred
- ability to type and operate standard office machines
- availability to work temporary shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- valid work authorization

Job Duties
- Wait on the public or act as a receptionist in a small office
- answer routine inquiries in person or by telephone
- index, code, and cross-reference records or files according to established procedures
- perform all types of filing including alphabetical, numerical, chronological, and code
- sort and arrange documents or correspondence in order
- make routine checks of clerical work for compliance with specific requirements
- post data and keep records
- prepare reports in accordance with predetermined forms and procedures
- make out bills, orders, notes, receipts, permits, licenses by hand
- type forms, labels, licenses, permits, receipts, certificates not requiring skilled operation of typewriter
- operate various office machines or equipment requiring little specialized training
- make routine adjustments through telephone calls or memos
- open, sort, time stamp, and route incoming mail
- stuff, seal, stamp, meter, and register outgoing mail
- compare and proofread documents
- search records and files for data
- compute and receive fees when amount is not in question
- requisition and charge out supplies
- operate a small telephone switchboard as needed
- collect and deliver correspondence, records, packages on messenger rounds
