Job Description
St. Luke's University Health Network prides itself on the dedication, skills, and compassion of its employees, who are regarded as the institution's most valuable asset. With a steadfast commitment to excellence, St. Luke's focuses on comprehensive care for the sick and injured while advancing education for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The organization also strives to improve access to healthcare in the communities it serves, regardless of a patient's ability to pay. This mission drives every aspect of St. Luke's operations and is upheld by a team of committed professionals working collectively toward superior patient outcomes.
St. Luke's Anderson Campus represents a beacon of advanced medical care and innovation. Since its opening in 2011 on a sprawling 500-acre campus, it has evolved into a nationally recognized teaching hospital and earned the distinction of being a 100 Top Hospital. The campus is home to a Trauma Center and the region's most advanced tertiary obstetrics program, reflecting its comprehensive range of healthcare services. Currently, St. Luke's is embarking on its largest expansion ever, scheduled to open in Fall 2026. This 350,000-square-foot Heart Hospital will include 150 inpatient beds, 10 state-of-the-art operating rooms, and 10 advanced interventional suites.
This expansion positions St. Luke's Anderson Campus as a leader in cardiology and tertiary services, offering healthcare professionals the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and treatments. The hospital is looking for flexible, team-oriented professionals ready to thrive in a fast-paced and growing environment. The full-time Environmental Services Aide role at this facility is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position specifically requires working the 8:30 pm to 5:00 am shift, including every other weekend.
The Environmental Services Aide plays a critical role in infection control by performing thorough cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, auxiliary spaces, and other designated hospital areas. Their diligent work helps create a healing environment that supports patient recovery and safety. This position demands physical stamina and attention to detail, as aides will be involved in scrubbing, mopping, dusting, and polishing various surfaces, along with managing waste removal. The hospital emphasizes adherence to proper cleaning guidelines and safety protocols to ensure the highest standard of hygiene.
Joining St. Luke's means becoming part of a caring and committed community dedicated to making a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery. The work is demanding yet rewarding, offering individuals the chance to contribute to life-changing patient care and support statewide efforts to improve health outcomes. Applicants are encouraged to bring their experience, reliability, and positive attitude to help shape the future of heart care and uphold St. Luke's tradition of compassionate service.
