- Customer service experience preferred
- One year of similar work experience preferred
Job Duties
- Cleans and maintains buildings and facilities
- Performs heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish
- Notifies managers of the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and managers
- Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors following chemical and equipment use procedures
- Dusters and washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment, cleans ceilings, dusts and polishes light fixtures
- Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas manually or with hand trucks
- Removes stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- Performs seasonal tasks such as sweeping walks, raking leaves, cutting grass, and removing snow
- Mixes water and detergents or acids to prepare cleaning solutions
- Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors
- Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas including spot cleaning treatments
- Gathers and empties trash
- Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
- Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
- Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms
- Periodically cleans overhead vents, dusts blinds, and polishes wood furniture
- Cleans interior glass, windows, partitions, and mirrors
- Sprays insecticides and fumigants to prevent infestation
- Sets up and removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding for events
- Maintains janitor’s closet and cleaning equipment
- Requisitions cleaning and maintenance supplies and equipment
- Monitors building security and safety including locking doors and checking appliances
- Drives vehicles to perform or travel to cleaning work as needed
- Performs basic repairs
- Completes miscellaneous duties as assigned
