Job Duties
- Clean the interior of buildings, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows and walls, and general tasks
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors including offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas
- Clean stains from chairs and upholstered furniture
- Keep furniture free of dust as well as lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings
- Empty trash cans, clean trash cans and ashtrays
- Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones
- Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies in these areas
- Wash and clean windows and mirrors
- Empty trash and recycling containers to disposal areas
- Clean trash and snow from sidewalks if necessary
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request missing materials from supervisors
- Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or conditions requiring maintenance
- Maintain a cleaning chart indicating cleaned and inspected areas
- Follow safety and precaution rules
- Close doors at the end of the night shift
