SporTran, operated by Shreveport Transit Management, Inc., is the dedicated public transit provider serving the communities of Shreveport and Bossier City. This organization manages and operates an extensive fixed-route bus system that caters to the daily transportation needs of its residents, along with ADA paratransit services provided under the LiftLine brand. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL with passenger endorsement or willingness to obtain Class A Combination CDL with passenger endorsement within first 120 days from hire
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work off high lift ladders and company lifts up to 50 feet
- Ability to pass agility test with no limitations on upper and lower back
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting
- Submit to random drug and alcohol testing per Federal Transit Authority regulations
- Have a telephone at home for contact
- Must have clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in past five years and no serious traffic violations
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently within given instructions and standard practices
- Possession of a valid CDL with passenger endorsement or willingness to obtain Class A Combination CDL with passenger endorsement within four months from hire for CDL Cleaner pay rate eligibility
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting
- Capacity to work at heights up to 50 feet using ladders or lifts
- Ability to pass agility tests without limitations on upper and lower back
- Availability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and cleanliness
- Ability to maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Responsible for cleanliness of assigned areas including Bus Terminal, Maintenance Shop, Office Areas, and Fleet vehicles
- Perform daily sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, and power washing exterior walkway and driveways
- Dispose of trash and maintain restroom cleanliness and supplies
- Clean glass windows, doors, light fixtures and replace light bulbs as needed
- Clean and wipe down office furniture, window coverings, light fixtures, and small appliances daily
- Fuel transit fleet and check and refill motor vehicle fluid levels as requested
- Complete pull offs for road calls as delegated by supervisor or leader
- Maintain accurate completion of required duty checklists and compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist with bus and van detailing including interior and exterior cleaning, tire detailing, and recording vehicle mileage
- Create work order requests for maintenance and repairs as needed
- Work under varying weather conditions and shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Perform other related duties assigned by supervisor
