Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate cleaning chemicals and power equipment safely
- Physical capability to handle manual labor tasks
- Willingness to work first shift Monday through Friday with mandatory overtime
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to work in climate-controlled warehouse environment
- Compliance with safety standards including OSHA
- Must be able to attend training programs
- Good attendance record
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Must be at least 18 years old
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in warehouse or janitorial roles preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning and powered equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Willingness to attend training and participate in safety programs
Job Duties
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
- Dust and wash furniture, walls, machines, ceilings, equipment, and other surfaces sometimes using ladders or powered equipment
- Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas manually or using hand trucks
- Remove stains from walls, floors, and equipment using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- Properly and safely use and mix cleaning chemicals per manufacturer and company standards
- Remove debris, empty trash and cardboard containers, sweep floors
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
- Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using suitable cleaners
- Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation
- Maintain supply closet neatness and equipment in good working order
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- Monitor building security and safety including locking doors and checking electrical appliance use
- Operate floor scrubbing equipment and cardboard baler and maintain janitorial equipment stations
- Apply OSHA and related safety requirements to all assigned work
- Identify and correct unsafe working conditions with management oversight
- Attend classroom and virtual training programs as designated
- Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
- Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner
- Participate in regular safety meetings, training and hazard assessments
- Perform work according to established safety procedures
- Drive vehicles if required including vans and industrial trucks
- Operate powered equipment
- Work at high heights or in tight spaces
- Make basic repairs as needed
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
