Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in dishwashing or cleaning preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • Good communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team

  • Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Gathering dirty dishes from bus stations and clearing tables
  • Taking dirty dishes to the dish room and cleaning them
  • Placing clean dishes on vendor racks in the dish room
  • Restocking silverware and water glasses at filling stations
  • Keeping the dish machine clean and operational, replacing chemicals as needed, and reporting when supplies need to be reordered or when the machine needs service
  • Keeping the dish room clean and organized
  • Keeping all public areas clean and presentable for guests
  • Collecting and disposing of compost, trash, and recycling
  • Ensuring the back of house common areas meet Health Department standards
