Job Requirements
- Must be qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under FMCSR rules
- Must have a current and unrestricted DOT physical card
- Must have an appropriate operator’s license for the equipment operated
- Ability to drive safely
- Ability to use navigation tools such as GPS and maps
- Ability to plan delivery routes effectively
- Ability to maintain basic logs and records
- Ability to carry out instructions without constant supervision
- Must be professional and courteous
- Ability to adjust vehicle controls precisely
- Must meet company driver eligibility guidelines
- Must complete all required training and certifications
- Frequent travel with occasional overnight stays
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to use three-point hold when entering vehicles
- Availability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle operated
- Successful completion of on-the-job training
- Ability to drive safely and follow instructions
- Ability to use navigation tools and plan routes
- Ability to maintain basic logs and records
- Forklift certification is preferred or required
- Ability to remain professional and courteous
- Ability to handle physical demands including lifting heavy loads
- Willingness to travel frequently and stay overnight as needed
Job Duties
- Drives delivery truck or van to deliver millwork products to retail facilities and commercial job sites
- Collects payments from commercial contractors and obtains signatures upon delivery
- Follows directions and uses navigation tools to locate delivery locations efficiently
- Records delivery information accurately on daily delivery records
- Treats all customers with courtesy and professionalism
- Acts as customer service liaison and resolves service complaints
- Assists with warehouse stocking, loading, and organizing materials
- Collects empty containers, trash, and unsold merchandise
- Loads and unloads delivery vehicle while ensuring ticket accuracy
- Maintains and cleans delivery vehicle regularly
- Performs routine safety checks on delivery vehicles
- Attends team meetings and completes company training
- Performs other related duties as assigned
