Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 12 months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-B license
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Comply with state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle record for past 3 years
- Pass post-offer drug screening and criminal background check
- Successful completion of road test
- Obtain or possess valid DOT health card
- Physically able to lift and use equipment for handling freight weighing up to 90 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- 12+ months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-B license
- Must be 21 years or older
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for the past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Current or able to secure valid DOT health card
- Ability to hand-lift and use two-wheeler, lift gate, and other equipment to move product cases weighing between 10-90 pounds
Job Duties
- Performs all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor, truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Inspects tractor, truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and report any safety issues or repairs needed
- Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies, immediately reporting hazards
- Performs count checks of items and verifies customer invoices for loaded products
- Completes all required paperwork accurately and legibly associated with freight
- Moves tractor to loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
- Drives and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route schedules
- Unloads products from trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas
- Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contacts supervisor about removing orders per company policy
- Verifies delivery of items with customers and obtains proper signatures
- Collects payments when required
- Loads customer returns onto trailer and secures trailer doors
- Ensures tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
- Unloads damaged goods and customer returns, completing necessary paperwork
- Maintains log of hours of service in accordance with federal DOT and company requirements
- Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area
- Secures all equipment and completes paperwork at the end of shifts
- Performs other related duties as assigned
