Job Requirements
- Commercial Driver's License with appropriate endorsements
- Medical Examiner's Certificate as required by federal regulations
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Ability to work variable shifts including overnight hours
- Ability to drive up to 11 hours and work up to 14 hours in a day
- Physical capability to perform vehicle inspections, handle heavy equipment, and perform manual tasks such as bending, climbing, and lifting
- Clear background check and drug screen
- Compliance with all DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- English proficiency
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of verifiable over-the-road driving experience or certification from an accredited truck driving academy
- Knowledge of applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Valid Commercial Driver's License with HazMat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements as required
- Ability to speak and read English
- Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections and handle heavy equipment
- Must be at least 21 years old as per federal regulations
Job Duties
- Drive defensively and follow all applicable laws and regulations to maintain safety standards
- Drive company trucks to load and deliver fuel and commodities to specified customer locations including Love's retail stores
- Comply with all federal, state, local, and company regulations related to hazardous cargo tank motor vehicle operation
- Load and unload cargos using proper methods
- Maintain regular contact with logistics personnel as required
- Complete electronic driver logs and all necessary documentation accurately
- Adhere to company guidelines regarding professional conduct when interacting with customers, employees, vendors, and the public
