Job Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- must be flexible and able to work assigned shift until completion of work
- must be 18 years of age or older
- deliveries are made in all weather conditions throughout the year including snow, ice, rain, heat, and wind
- able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day using a 2-wheeler (dolly) loaded with several hundred lbs
- must maintain safety and operational standards
- must comply with food safety guidelines
- avoid roadside inspection violations that affect PSP and SMS scores
- report any vehicle maintenance or delivery challenges promptly
Job Qualifications
- CDL - A with airbrakes
- must have a DOT-certified medical card
- must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- 5s certification
- three years clean PSP score with no unsafe driving or hour of service violations
- three years clean DMV driving record
- experience driving a commercial vehicle (box truck and/or tractor trailer)
- experience making deliveries using a 2-wheeler (dolly) and/or pallet jack
Job Duties
- Drive company-owned commercial vehicle locally to deliver meats and provisions to restaurants, markets, and warehouses in the New England region
- ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers, adhering to scheduled routes and delivery times
- load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring they are handled with care to prevent damage and maintain quality
- maintain a clean and organized vehicle, including routine checks to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- verify the accuracy of delivery orders against invoices and report any discrepancies to the logistics manager
- adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding delivery operations and safety protocols
- conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company and regulatory standards
