Job Requirements
- Valid CDL A
- Must be 21 years of age
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test
- Pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT health card
- Able to hand-lift and use equipment to move product cases weighing approximately 60 to 90 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Valid CDL A
- Must be 21 years of age
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test
- Pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT health card
- Able to hand-lift and use equipment to move product cases
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred
- 6-12 months commercial driving experience preferred
- Foodservice distribution experience preferred
- Experience with onboard computer and electronic log systems preferred
- Familiarity with handheld point of delivery scanning systems preferred
Job Duties
- Attend and complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required
- Ride-with and assist driver trainer in executing deliveries
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight and verify paperwork accuracy
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to the delivery schedule
- Unload products, transport items into customer storage areas, verify delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
