Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- 6+ months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or have a valid current DOT Health card or be able to secure one
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and stack product cases
- Ability to lift products generally ranging between 10-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds
Job Qualifications

- Preferred: 1+ years foodservice distribution industry experience
- Experience with onboard computer and electronic log systems
- Experience with handheld point of delivery scanning systems
- Customer service-related work experience
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count checks and verify customer invoices for loaded products
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products from trailer and transport items to designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about order removals
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are properly locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter into log according to Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at shift end
- Perform other related duties as assigned
