Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid Class A CDL license
  • minimum of 3 years of driving experience with oversized and overweight loads
  • clean driving record
  • ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
  • knowledge of transportation laws and DOT compliance
  • ability to work flexible hours and travel as required
  • strong attention to detail and time management skills

  • extensive experience operating oversized and overweight loads
  • strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
  • excellent communication and coordination skills
  • ability to perform daily maintenance checks and operate electronic driver logs

Job Duties

  • Safe and effective transportation of oversized loads within the region
  • safe operation of all equipment including daily maintenance checks and electronic driver logs
  • operating and maintaining all equipment to meet DOT compliance standards
  • partnering with Driver Supervisors and Pilot/Escort Drivers to coordinate daily permits and load scheduling
  • coordinating pickup of scheduled oversized loads
  • coordinating delivery and placement at retail locations
  • providing route information and best practices to the oversized load team
  • returning to terminal with completed delivery paperwork in a timely manner
  • carrying out end of shift/day cleanup procedures including cleaning and servicing of work stations and equipment
  • reporting traffic accidents or load damages to authorities and driver supervisors promptly
  • providing world-class customer experience during transport and delivery
