Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with doubles endorsement
- Current DOT medical card
- Minimum 6 months CDL driving experience
- Must pass road test
- Acceptable driving record based on DOT and company insurance mandates
- Compliance with DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse provisions
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with doubles endorsement
- Current DOT medical card
- At least 1 year (6 months considered) of CDL driving experience
- Ability to pass road test
- Excellent driving record in accordance with DOT and company insurance mandates
- Compliance with DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse provisions
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to use electronic logging devices and delivery scanners
Job Duties
- Responsible for being constantly vigilant to detect unexpected road conditions, distracted drivers, and motorists who don’t understand how commercial vehicles operate
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment prior to departure and upon return from route
- Responsible for accurate and efficient product delivery procedures
- Maintain valid and current CDL and medical card
- Comply with all Department of Transportation rules and regulations including keeping a driver log on the electronic logging device
- Utilize company’s proof of delivery scanner to accurately deliver products and unload using safety equipment
- Ensure proper accounting of delivery paperwork and secure collection of payments
- Follow safety protocols and wear proper uniforms and personal protective equipment
- Participate in coaching on safe driving practices using Drive-Cam system
- Perform other duties assigned by Transportation Management as needed
