Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
- 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- Completion of tractor trailer driving school accepted instead of or in addition to high school diploma
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license
- Must be insurable to operate a vehicle
- Ability to lift, push, or move products up to 50 pounds by hand
- Ability to push/pull up to 250 pounds using a 2-wheeled hand cart
- Ability to sit, talk, hear regularly
- Ability to climb in and out of tractor and trailer
- Ability to bend, twist, reach during loading/unloading
- Ability to work overnight schedules including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in wet, hot, cold, or humid conditions
- Authorized to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
- Completion of tractor trailer driving school accepted
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license
- Insurable to operate a vehicle
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Knowledge of Hazmat guidelines
- Knowledge of safe lifting and delivery practices
- Skill in driving long distances in varied weather and terrain
- Skill in customer communication
- Ability to drive tractor-trailer during day and night
- Ability to handle hazardous materials and frozen, dry, and refrigerated items
- Ability to operate 3 axle tractor, 45' - 48' trailer, straight truck, onboard computer, keypad, and hand cart
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Ability to plan and organize work independently
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English sufficiently for communication and documentation
Job Duties
- Unload product from trailer by hand or using a hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions and place in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time, including DOT logs, inspections, maintenance reports, pre- and post-trip reports, and invoice accuracy
- Adhere to food safety protocols such as maintaining proper temperatures, inspecting product for damages, and ensuring sanitary conditions in vehicles and warehouse
- Develop and maintain good customer relationships by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Drive tractor trailer routes safely and efficiently
- Maintain compliance with all DOT and company regulations
