The organization's commitment to excellence is further exemplified by its safe and inclusive work environment that values rewards, recognition, and respect for its employees.
This particular position is for a CDL-A Delivery Driver, a vital role in the food supply chain that supports America’s food distribution system. Delivery drivers at PFG Customized Distribution are tasked with not only transporting goods but also representing the company as the face of service excellence while building lasting relationships with customers. This full-time role offers a competitive yearly salary of up to $90,000 with bi-weekly pay and flexible schedules, though candidates must be available to work overnight shifts and return home weekly. The delivery driver is responsible for operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes, including over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop deliveries. The role encompasses various responsibilities, including conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining safety standards, and promptly reporting any necessary repairs or hazards. Drivers are expected to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers, delivering an exceptional customer experience through timely and accurate communication. Safely loading, unloading, and securing freight, verifying deliveries with customers, managing related paperwork, and handling customer returns are key aspects of the job. Additional duties include keeping the tractor, trailer, and loading dock areas clean and orderly, completing hours of service logs in compliance with DOT and company guidelines, and assisting with other departmental tasks as assigned.
PFG Customized Distribution offers comprehensive benefits from day one, including health and wellness programs, an employee stock purchase plan, 401K matching, education assistance, paid time off, and more.
