Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Minimum of one year delivery driving experience preferred
- Ability to operate hand truck or dolly
- Ability to lift between 20 to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and maintain logs
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Strong attention to detail
- Good physical health and stamina
- Professional appearance and grooming standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers
- Adherence to safety protocols and company policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to obtain
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and DOT regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle financial transactions accurately
- Capable of following detailed instructions and company policies
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and prolonged standing
- Professional attitude and customer service oriented
Job Duties
- Report to work on time and clock in and out at appropriate times
- Ensure truck is properly loaded to prevent product damage
- Count product load out and in daily with warehouse personnel and sign sheets
- Make deliveries according to established route sequence
- Avoid deliveries during retailers' busy times when possible
- Rotate products properly within coolers, displays, and backrooms
- Merchandise products according to company guidelines including front facing packages
- Build, merchandise, and sign displays as directed
- Use paper and permanent POS in proper manner and quantity
- Complete special attention items as communicated
- Complete all paperwork correctly according to procedures
- Collect monies due and check them in according to procedures
- Handle empties and unsold product safely
- Attend all safety and drivers meetings
- Inspect vehicle daily according to DOT regulations
- Maintain current DOT required logs
- Obey all traffic laws when operating company vehicle
- Maintain courtesy on the road
- Park truck without interfering with retailer’s customers
- Keep truck cab clean and organized
- Ensure truck is properly serviced and repaired
- Load empty pallets properly at last delivery stop
- Maintain positive relationships with account owners, managers, and employees
- Demonstrate sincere interest in business success of each account
- Maintain open communications with company and account personnel
- Communicate competitive activity to Delivery Manager
- Notify Delivery Manager or Salesperson if unable to make scheduled delivery
- Check with warehouse for additional assignments after deliveries
- Ensure proper product rotation in all accounts
- Be aware of code dates and pick up products as directed
- Dress in uniform and maintain professional appearance
- Properly operate and return all issued equipment
- Conduct activities within company policies and liquor control regulations
- Report traffic violations and accidents promptly
- Perform work according to safe work practices
- Perform all other duties as assigned
