Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant claims handling experience preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good negotiation and analytical skills
- Customer service orientation
- Willingness to attend mandatory training and product seminars
- Capacity to obtain necessary licenses
- Flexibility to assist with catastrophe duty when required
Job Qualifications
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Good interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills
- Effective negotiation skills
- Customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of coverages within various homeowner policies
- Ability to independently manage workload and exercise good judgment
- Experience in interior design, electronics, appliances, antiques, clothing and furniture retail preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to obtain proper licensing as required
- Completion of advanced property training
Job Duties
- Manages, investigates and resolves assigned property contents claims under limited supervision
- Compiles and values inventory of damaged/lost contents associated with property claims
- Provides policyholders with quality customer service
- Assists claims representatives with in-person inspection and policyholder contact when necessary
- Handles claims involving personal property losses including large loss scenarios
- Collaborates with large loss adjusters for scheduling, inventorying, adjustment and relocation assistance
- Performs on-site inventory inspections with specific detail capture to provide accurate pricing to policyholders
